Christine Gibbens, graduate of jewellery and
metals program at Georgian College, will demonstrate the art
of lampwork beadmaking. Using glass rods, steel mandrels,
a torch and graphite marver, students will try their hands at making 2 to 4 glass beads. Also demonstrated will
be the making of stringers to decorate beads, as well as feathering
and shaping. See in store for samples of finished pieces.
Students are requested to tie back long hair and wear long
sleeves.
